Pilger’s history

Pilger is a village in the Rural Municipality of Three Lakes No. 400, about 100 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon. It became an incorporated village on 1 January 1969.

Today the village has a public library and an autobody shop. It is best known for the Annual Pilger Pumpkin Growing Contest, held on the last Saturday of September, which draws over 500 attendees every year.
